Taylor Moton – Carolina Panthers OT

There is no disputing the fact Taylor Moton is among the best in the business when it comes to protecting the edge. The right tackle has been one of the most consistent players at the position over the last three years and the Carolina Panthers made the correct move by giving the former second-round pick a lucrative deal just minutes before the franchise tag deadline.

Moton was more than willing to play out the 2021 season on the tag. Although it would have presented more problems for the Panthers down the line.

Getting it sorted before the campaign ensures their one shining light on the offensive line can focus on football and nothing else in the coming months with the financial security he undoubtedly deserved.

It’s also worth noting that there’s nothing stopping Moton from getting even better heading into his prime years. The Western Michigan product has also been getting reps at left tackle during the early part of training camp, which is an option well worth considering for the Panthers providing his production isn’t compromised.

If Moton does switch to the blindside and remains an elite contributor, then a potential Madden 99 club standing might not be too far behind.
