David Moore – Carolina Panthers WR

There is no reason to suspect David Moore’s position on the roster heading into the 2021 season is under threat. The Carolina Panthers got themselves a real bargain when he decided to join in free agency from the Seattle Seahawks, with his previous relationship with Scott Fitterer something that gave the organization an edge during his acquisition.

It hasn’t been the easiest of starts for Moore at training camp. The former seventh-round pick had a rough day on Thursday and this was magnified further by an exceptional display from Terrace Marshall Jr., who the Panthers picked up at No. 59 overall in the 2021 NFL Draft.

This piles some additional pressure on Moore ahead of the pads going on.

He’ll be fully aware that Marshall, Shi Smith, and even Omar Bayless are breathing down his neck for playing time. So making his presence felt next week and beyond should serve the player well.

Moore can definitely be of use to the Panthers. He has the ability to impact proceedings all over the field and this is something the team is looking for after Curtis Samuel left for the Washington Football Team in free agency.

However, if Moore thought he was going to have things all his own way, he’s sadly mistaken.
