Poor execution from Carolina Panthers offense

It was another day to forget for the offense and according to reports, their most sluggish practice of training camp so far.

Among the lowlights were disappointing ball security, questionable throws from the quarterbacks, and poor discipline with multiple false starts that even saw left tackle Cam Erving replaced by Greg Little at one stage.

This is overreaction season. Especially when one considers the questions surrounding the offensive line and Sam Darnold heading into the new campaign.

Darnold showed what he can do in flashes. However, unless he gets the necessary time to go through his reads nothing is going to change.

We will find out much more when the pads go on and in the preseason. The latter is going to ultimately determine just what combination the Carolina Panthers go with to start the campaign.

Removing bad habits is what training camp’s for.

Matt Rhule stated it was always going to be a work in progress with this group, who are trying different things and building chemistry in the face of what appears to be a pretty formidable defense.

Although this should stand them in good stead when the real action begins, things need to start progressing quickly during padded practices from tomorrow.
