What were some big observations from this year’s Carolina Panthers Fan Fest, which brought thousands of supporters to Bank of America Stadium?
The rain did not dampen spirits at Carolina Panthers Fan Fest. More than 25,000 people turned out at Bank of America Stadium to see their heroes take the field for a more relaxed practice to what head coach Matt Rhule normally runs at Wofford College in Spartanburg.
This was the first time many Panthers players had experienced a vibrant atmosphere such as this. COVID-19 restricted fan attendance in 2020 – which was a weird situation for everyone – but with crowds set to return in the coming months, things should appear far more normal providing Delta variant concerns don’t turn into something more.
The Panthers have a day off on Saturday before three straight practices. They then travel to the Indianapolis Colts for scrimmages and their first preseason game against Frank Reich’s men as preparations for the 2021 campaign gather pace.
Here are five big observations from what turned out to be a fantastic occasion at Panthers Fan Fest 2021.
Observation No. 1
A sense of togetherness at Carolina Panthers Fan Fest
It’s been a long time coming. But there was a real sense of togetherness between staff, players, and supporters alike and something that’s been sorely missed over the last 18 months.
Things have become a little detached between the Panthers and their fanbase. Wholesale changes to roster coupled with an inability to attend games and another year of struggles will do that.
For now, at least, there is a renewed hope. Whether it will come to anything more than that remains to be seen.
