A relaxed practice at Carolina Panthers Fan Fest

No pads.

No contact.

It was a more relaxed practice at Carolina Panthers Fan Fest. But that’s not to say players didn’t get in a solid amount of work throughout the event.

This is not something normally associated with Matt Rhule’s practices, which are normally high intensity and very demanding. The head coach wanted Fan Fest to be a celebration after everything that’s transpired in recent months, so it was definitely mission accomplished in that sense.

"“The message I shared with our team, it’s great to practice in front of our families, great to practice with friends, but there will also be a bunch of little kids out there that maybe this is the only time they get to see you play live. So to go out there tonight, you guys know me, Burns dancing, that’s not normally my way of practicing, but it was a fun night.”"

This can at a good time for the Panthers, in all honesty. Things will ramp up considerably over the next few weeks, which also sees scrimmages against two playoff hopefuls and three preseason fixtures to further ready themselves for competitive action.

Getting everyone singing from the same hymn sheet before the season was absolutely essential for the Panthers. Fan Fest went a long way to achieving this goal.
