4 ways Sam Darnold can prove his doubters wrong in 2021

Sam Darnold must win more games
If only it was that easy.
Simply put, Sam Darnold needs to get into the habit of winning games. Since entering the league, he has gone 13-25 in his NFL career a win percentage of under 35.
The Carolina Panthers are an exciting young team despite finishing last season with a 5-11 record, led by an impressive defense and talent on offense with the likes of Christian McCaffery, D.J. Moore, and Robby Anderson, so there’s a clear opportunity for Darnold to succeed in Carolina.
This is providing he can banish the demons that haunted him at MetLife Stadium with the New York Jets and find some of the confidence that helped him throw for more than 4,000 yards in his final college campaign for the USC Trojans.
Carolina was far more competitive than anybody anticipated in the first year under Matt Rhule. The next step for this team will be coming through in clutch situations a little better, which normally separates the playoff contenders from the also-rans when it’s all said and done.
Darnold has a fantastic opportunity to prove that he was a victim of circumstance on the Jets. Leading the Panthers to their first winning record and a potential postseason appearance would be a great place to start.
