4 key observations from practice Day 11 at Panthers training camp

Carolina Panthers DT Derrick Brown continues to emerge
Considering how important Derrick Brown looks set to be for the Carolina Panthers in 2021, his contribution during training camp so far seems to be going relatively under the radar.
However, that should not detract from what an imposing figure Brown has been.
The defensive tackle has been a dominant presence throughout camp and has really come into his own over the last few days. Brown has generated some incredible push from the interior in 11-on-11 drills, flushing on the quarterback on multiple occasions in an eye-catching fashion.
Carolina’s defensive front might be set for big things next season. This is a group that has playmakers everywhere you look and if Brown can build on a promising rookie campaign, the sky is the limit for the former Auburn standout.
Brown goes about his business quietly and with an air of calm. But that all changes once he gets onto the gridiron and down to business.
If Brown can improve his run-stopping ability in Year 2 of his professional career, then a Pro Bowl-caliber campaign is not entirely out of the question.
He’s already proven capable of putting up some impressive numbers despite plenty of double teams coming the player’s way. So having more firepower alongside Brown could take his game to new heights.
