5 Carolina Panthers players dominating at 2021 training camp

This comes as no surprise. Brian Burns is the most important defensive player on the Carolina Panthers and it’s a role he is taking extremely seriously judging by his performance at training camp so far.
Burns has been terrorizing anybody he’s come up against. The former first-round pick has generated some unbelievable pressure and considering the improved talent around him, it could be a big campaign ahead for the front seven if this transitions into the regular season.
There will be a much bigger bullseye on Burns’ back in 2021. Opposing protection schemes now know what he is capable of after his efforts last season, so their game plans will be specifically designed to counteract his threat as much as possible.
How defensive ends cope with this separates the good from the great at the position.
The Florida State product knows this, obviously.
Although teams can put a plan together, there is little they can do about the exceptional explosiveness Burns brings to the table. If he can generate momentum early in contests, the sky is the limit for a player with the world at his feet.
We could witness something special where Burns is concerned next season. His outstanding start to camp has only heightened expectations.
