Dan Arnold – Carolina Panthers TE

If the Carolina Panthers were looking for Dan Arnold to come in and make an instant impression, then it’s mission accomplished so far.

The free-agent signing from the Arizona Cardinals has the potential to completely transform the team’s fortunes at the tight end position, which brought about relatively no production in 2020 following their decision to part ways with Greg Olsen.

Arnold has grown in stature with every passing practice. His previous knowledge of working with Joe Brady from their time together on the New Orleans Saints has smoothed his transition and there is a definite bond developing between the player and quarterback Sam Darnold.

This has been especially evident in red-zone drills. Arnold has caught multiple touchdowns and appears to be a real mismatch problem thanks to his size and eye-catching ball skills.

Hopefully, for the player and the Panthers, this is a trend that continues when competitive action gets underway.

Arnold and rookie Tommy Tremble are a substantial upgrade on anything the Panthers had at the tight end spot in 2020. This would give Darnold another massive boost as he looks to turn his career around.
