Christian Miller – Carolina Panthers OLB

This could be a surprise most teams don’t see coming in 2021.

Christian Miller made a nice impression as a rookie in 2019 before opting out last season due to COVID-19 health concerns. The outside linebacker is back in the field this time around and after taking his time to readjust, the former Alabama star has made his presence felt over the last few days.

Considering the lack of depth within the linebacker corps, this is like a new signing for the Carolina Panthers and something that can benefit them considerably. Miller is a force against the run and proved his ability when it comes to generating pressure during Year 1 of his professional career.

Again, getting Miller on the field in preseason games will give everyone associated with Carolina more of an indication about how he’s brought his game on. Catching the eye during practice reps is all well and good, but it counts for nothing if they cannot transition this into a game-day situation.

Miller has upside. There’s no getting away from it.

Hopefully, he can build on some notable strides of late and become a solid piece of the rotation at the second level.
