5 big observations from practice Day 12 at Panthers training camp

Terrace Marshall Jr.’s versatility
Although those in attendance are restricted in terms of what they can report from a scheme standpoint, it’s clear the Carolina Panthers are going to do everything in their power to get Terrace Marshall Jr. heavily involved right from the outset.
The second-round pick has made a solid early impression throughout training camp. Marshall is an imposing physical specimen that can impact the game all over the field, something the Panthers are looking for after losing Curtis Samuel to the Washington Football Team in free agency.
Marshall has all the size, strength, and athleticism to make a difference during his rookie season. He’s developed an early rapport with quarterback Sam Darnold, with the LSU product also showing his capabilities in the red zone which haven’t gone unnoticed.
Again, we’ll get a much better indication of what Marshall could potentially contribute in the preseason. It would be wise for the Panthers to get plenty of targets into the wideout, but they must also be cautious with the player due to his recent injury history.
Getting through the first part of camp unscathed was the first objective for Marshall. Now it’s time to see what he can do against some true competition in Indianapolis.
