Which Carolina Panthers players could be fighting for their futures after the team released their unofficial 2021 depth chart?

There was a lot to unpack regarding the Carolina Panthers after the organization released their unofficial depth chart on Tuesday. This comes after a solid portion of training camp and sees some surprises, although it’s worth remembering that nothing is set in stone at this stage of the preparation period.

That being said, it gives everyone associated with the Panthers an opportunity to pick apart who might be winning their position battles en route to a roster spot. Obviously, there is plenty of time to alter the coaching staff’s perceptions both for the remainder of Carolina’s camp and in the three upcoming preseason games that begin this Sunday at the Indianapolis Colts.

If any players were getting complacent regarding their respective places, then this might be something of a reality check. For others, it’s a chance to build on some recent positive momentum to leave no doubt as to their fortunes when final cuts are made.

With this in mind, here are five Panthers players who could be fighting for their futures in Carolina after the unofficial depth chart release.

It was always going to be tough for Paddy Fisher to make the roster. The undrafted free agent has done his chances no harm at camp with some solid displays, but his status on the unofficial depth chart means there is much work to be done to convince the coaching staff he’s worth keeping around.

Again, it’s early days. And the depth chart will look a lot different from this by the time competitive action rolls around.

However, the task awaiting Fisher heading into Carolina’s three preseason fixtures is a steep one.
