Omar Bayless- Carolina Panthers WR

This is the second straight training camp that wide receiver Omar Bayless has performed well enough to give himself a fighting chance of making the Carolina Panthers roster.

However, last year, Bayless suffered a knee injury that caused him to miss the entire season. A real blow to the undrafted free agent who was almost guaranteed a spot on the team after an electrifying camp.

Now back and fully healed, Bayless has shown during the first few weeks of camp that last year was no fluke and that he could compete with any of the receivers on Carolina’s roster if given the opportunity.

Wide receiver is one of the deeper position groups on the Panthers roster with D.J. Moore, Robby Anderson, Terrace Marshall Jr., and David Moore. But with multiple touchdowns in camp and impressive route running, Bayless could work his way onto the 53-man roster if he keeps up this type of play.

If not, he’s still just 24-years-old and can either be put on the practice squad or picked up by another team. Although this also comes with a risk of another team scooping him off the waiver wire.
