5 young Carolina Panthers players who have turned it on at camp

Derrick Brown- Carolina Panthers DT
With his rookie season now in the books, Carolina Panthers fans are hoping for another step forward from 2020 first-round rookie defensive tackle Derrick Brown.
Through three weeks at training camp, Brown has proven that he might be on the verge of a breakout season at just 23-years-old. Something that should take Carolina’s defensive front to even greater heights moving forward.
Brown will be relied on even more this season with Kawann Short no longer on the roster and being the only sure thing at the defensive tackle spot. Although the impression left by free-agent signing DaQuan Jones has been pleasing.
The former Auburn star has looked up to the challenge, causing plenty of pressure on Sam Darnold and seemingly having improved some in stopping the run.
Brown got plenty of experience last year on defense but it was also after a shortened offseason, which can be a huge blow for a rookie just entering the league.
With a regular offseason to learn the playbook, even more, Brown looks to be taking advantage of it every day and could be a very scary force for offenses when the season begins.
