Here are some bold predictions as the Carolina Panthers get set for their first preseason game at the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.

Matt Rhule and the Carolina Panthers head on the road to begin preseason action at the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.

After practicing against each other the first couple of weeks in Spartanburg, the Panthers got to work Thursday and Friday against their Sunday foe in preparation for their contest.

The first preseason game is usually a time for roster bubble players to make a name for themselves. But with only three warmup contests, it is still unknown just how much playing time the starters will see.

With the idea that Carolina will showcase more of the reserve and roster bubble players, this is the time for those individuals to shine with increased game-time reps.

Terrace Marshall Jr. scores the first Carolina Panthers TD

Terrace Marshall Jr. has been quite the red zone target during camp. The second round LSU wideout has used his big 6-foot-2, 220-pound frame to separate himself from defenders, many of which have been the first team defensive unit.

Listed only behind D.J. Moore and Robby Anderson on the first unofficial depth chart, Marshall should see plenty of action both with the starters at the beginning of the game and with the second team later on.

The Panthers have lined up Marshall all over the field at training camp, so I see Marshall enhancing his chances to start at the slot receiver position for what will be the first of hopefully many touchdowns.
