4 things P.J. Walker must show at Colts in preseason Week 1

P.J. Walker must showcase his mobility
One thing that the Carolina Panthers have been working hard on with their men under center is the footwork aspect. Quarterbacks coach Sean Ryan has been drilling his methods into his signal-callers almost from the moment he arrived, which could lead to some improved mobility if everything is taken on board quickly.
P.J. Walker’s movement is unquestioned. Something that’s been there for all to see throughout Panthers training camp and led to some memorable moments over the last fortnight.
The protection in front of Walker on Sunday might cause some problems. This means the player cannot be afraid to make things happen on the run should the opportunity arise.
It’s unlikely that the Indianapolis Colts will be giving away too much in terms of formations or tricky schemes before competitive action. That being said, Walker will still be under considerable pressure at times and it won’t take long to find out just how much his footwork has progressed in a short space of time.
Mobile quarterbacks are all the rage in today’s NFL. One only has to look at the success guys like Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson are having to see that.
Walker clearly isn’t on that level. But he does offer something to the Panthers that Sam Darnold and Will Grier do not.
