5 Carolina Panthers players who impressed during Colts scrimmages

Jeremy Chinn – Carolina Panthers S
This was something of a homecoming for Jeremy Chinn, who attended Fishers High School in Indiana. Judging by his production over the two days, it was evident he wanted to put on a show in familiar surroundings.
The Carolina Panthers are moving Chinn back to safety in 2021. A position where he starred at Southern Illinois during his college career.
His transition has been a smooth one so far. Chinn is still making a big difference and seems to be right in the thick of things consistently, which was something particularly evident during his exceptional rookie season as an outside linebacker.
Chinn is reading the game well. Better than many anticipated after a year away from the position and with things developing far quicker in a professional environment than he ever experienced at the collegiate level.
There is a lot riding on this decision from Carolina’s perspective. They are banking on Chinn solidifying the backend while getting the freedom to be around the football consistently, which might just be the missing piece on defense if everything clicks into place.
Chinn will no longer be a surprise opposing teams don’t see coming. But there is more than enough in the player’s arsenal to cope with some extra attention coming his way next season.
