6 shining stars from the Carolina Panthers first preseason game

Tommy Tremble – Carolina Panthers TE
Welcome to the NFL, Tommy Tremble.
Another of the Carolina Panthers 2021 NFL Draft class caught the eye with what can only be described as a solid opening to his career at the next level. The third-round pick certainly looked the part from a blocking standpoint, with his ability in the passing game also coming to the fore.
This is an area where Tremble is considered a work in progress. Even though he does possess all the physical attributes to become the total package.
His route-running was better than many anticipated. This resulted in the Notre Dame product bringing in three receptions for 19 yards and his first touchdown as a member of the organization.
Nobody is expecting Tremble to surpass Dan Arnold as Carolina’s primary tight end option in the passing game.
However, he should be on the field plenty in an H-back role and if Tremble becomes a consistent pass-catcher, then it’s yet another weapon for quarterback Sam Darnold to call upon.
Tremble is already a huge hit with the Panthers’ fanbase after some vicious highlights for the Fighting Irish. And what he displayed at the Indianapolis Colts was just a small sample of what he could bring right out of the gate.
