Kendall Donnerson – Carolina Panthers DE

This wouldn’t be the first time that Kendall Donnerson has been shown the door this offseason. The defensive end is in his second spell with the Carolina Panthers this offseason and could become a sacrifice yet again upon the first round of cuts on Tuesday.

Donnerson has bounced around the league a lot after being initially drafted by the Green Bay Packers out of Southeast Missouri State. There is a lot to like about the player from a physical standpoint, even if things haven’t quite come together on the gridiron as yet.

If Donnerson doesn’t make the team this time around, then one might say he is running out of chances.

The Panthers don’t have much room for passengers in 2021. Considering the talent on the edge at Carolina’s disposal, it’s hard to envisage a situation where Donnerson surges his way up the depth chart in a short space of time.

Carolina has had no trouble churning out the bottom end of their roster throughout training camp. This is a similar method deployed by the Seattle Seahawks during the early stages of Pete Carroll’s tenure, where Scott Fitterer was obviously a key part of their front office.

This time of year is never easy and the NFL is a cutthroat business. Something Donnerson has experienced plenty of during his brief career so far.
