5 Carolina Panthers players who could be among first cuts in 2021

Darius Clark – Carolina Panthers RB
It was worth bringing in talent such as Darius Clark for a longer look this offseason. The running back really impressed during a HUB camp, which was set up for prospects that didn’t really get the necessary exposure during their respective evaluation processes pre-draft.
However, considering how other players at the position are rising to the occasion at training camp, this might be a good time for the Carolina Panthers to send Clark on his way.
The likes of Chuba Hubbard, Reggie Bonnafon, and Rodney Smith have all caught the eye at various stages of camp. Trenton Cannon is also making his mark both as a pass-catching presence and in the return game.
When one looks at Carolina’s roster to see who might be the first to go, Clark is high on the shortlist. It might come down to him and undrafted free-agent Spencer Brown, who drew praise from none other than Christian McCaffrey during voluntary OTAs.
Making your way from obscurity is a rocky road for most hopefuls. Clark will no doubt have accumulated a tremendous amount of experience from his few months in Carolina, even if that might come to an abrupt end when the first round of cuts are announced.
