It appears as if David Njoku and the Cleveland Browns have patched up their differences and the tight end will play out the final year of his deal. His lack of involvement came with a trade request last time around and if the same situation occurs again, it won’t take long for the player to start looking at his potential options next spring.

The Carolina Panthers are hoping for better production from their tight ends this season. Something that simply wasn’t there at all in their first campaign without prolific Pro Bowler Greg Olsen to rely upon.

Dan Arnold and Tommy Tremble have a ton of talent for differing reasons.

Carolina hasn’t quite given up on Ian Thomas yet, either.

However, if this remains a problem area in terms of production in the coming months, then the Panthers won’t hesitate to look at someone like Njoku to provide a dynamic presence that’s been sorely lacking.

Things might not go according to plan for Njoku in pursuit of more targets. The Browns are still a run-first operation, with the likes of Odell Beckham Jr., Jarvis Landry, and Austin Hooper also available for quarterback Baker Mayfield to utilize.

In truth, Njoku would probably benefit from a change of scenery, which might interest the Panthers if Arnold doesn’t produce.
