Which Carolina Panthers players are facing a make-or-break preseason Week 2 game against the Baltimore Ravens at Bank of America Stadium?

The stakes are getting increasingly higher for those on the Carolina Panthers who are looking to carve out a role with the organization next season. Those in power are constantly looking for ways to improve the team and with two more rounds of cuts upcoming before the 53-man roster is decided, even the smallest plays and improved consistency could make a massive difference.

With the Panthers planning to play their starters more prominently against the Pittsburgh Steelers in their preseason finale, Saturday’s against the Baltimore Ravens could be the last chance less influential members of the depth chart have to catch the eye.

Matt Rhule and his staff probably have some idea of who they’re taking through into Week 1. But there is also time for perceptions to be altered over the next fortnight.

Here are five Panthers players facing a make-or-break warmup game against the Ravens at Bank of America Stadium.

There does appear to be some ongoing concerns about what exactly the Panthers possess on their offensive line. A structured lineup hasn’t been confirmed as yet, although judging by who played and who didn’t last weekend, the coaching staff looks like to go with veterans rather than unproven rookies to open the campaign.

Regardless of who starts or not, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that Martez Ivey needs to make a telling contribution against the Ravens. Other rotational pieces really caught the eye last time out, so the onus is on the former Florida lineman to stand up and be counted.

If he doesn’t, then Ivey’s name could be on the chopping block during the second round of cuts.
