Carolina Panthers Game Saturday: Panthers vs Ravens prediction, odds, spread, line, over/under & betting info for NFL preseason Week 2 game
By Dean Jones
The Carolina Panthers take the field at Bank of America Stadium on Saturday night for their second preseason game against the Baltimore Ravens. This will be another chance for fans to get a good look at individuals who could end up playing a leading role for the organization this season, with many places still up for grabs as the final cut deadline looms large.
This contest comes after two days of physical practice between the two teams. However, unlike last week head coach Matt Rhule is keen for his starters to get involved for a short period in the first quarter.
Of course, this is subject to change. But the Panthers could be seeing new quarterback Sam Darnold take meaningful snaps on an NFL field for the first time since his bombshell trade from the New York Jets.
There were some encouraging things to take from Carolina’s first warmup game at the Indianapolis Colts. But some familiar problems reared their head late on as the team fell to a last-gasp defeat.

Carolina Panthers injury report vs. Baltimore Ravens for Preseason Week 2.
There were plenty of knocks for the Panthers following their joint practices with the Ravens. It remains to be seen whether the likes of D.J. Moore, Brian Burns, and Denzel Perryman will suit up, with Keith Kirkwood’s status also in doubt despite returning for Thursday’s session after passing the concussion protocol.
One definite absentee is Marquis Haynes. The rotational edge rusher was seen in a sling this week with an injury that is expected to sideline him for a couple of weeks.
Carolina Panthers vs. Baltimore Ravens Prediction for Preseason Week 2.
Much will depend on how many Panthers starters turn out in this one and for how long. Baltimore is missing a ton of experienced talent and it doesn’t appear likely that stud tight end Mark Andrews will play after he was taken to hospital on Thursday with dehydration in the stifling heat of Spartanburg.
That being said, Carolina at +145 is the call we’re making. They are on home soil, produced some encouraging moments during their first preseason outing, and could take advantage of some injury problems on the Ravens in front of the home fans at Bank of America Stadium.
In terms of the over/under, one can make an argument for -35.5 considering it’s the preseason and things are still being worked out with both sets of teams.
