5 shining stars from the Carolina Panthers second preseason game

Terrace Marshall Jr. – Carolina Panthers WR
Another game, another outstanding contribution from Terrace Marshall Jr.
The Carolina Panthers appear to have a player with tremendous talent on their hands in Marshall, who finished as the team’s leading receiver for the second-straight week and caught all three of his targets for good measure.
This was another strong indicator of just what Marshall might be capable of as a rookie. D.J. Moore and Robby Anderson’s presence on the roster means he probably won’t hit the levels former LSU teammate Justin Jefferson accomplished in 2020 with the Minnesota Vikings, but that does not detract from what an incredible asset he is judging by recent performances.
Marshall has the size, physicality, and ball skills that makes him a nightmare to cover.
There should be plenty of one-on-one looks for the No. 59 overall selection to take advantage of given the weapons elsewhere. Something that cannot be ignored when one projects what Marshall could achieve in 2021.
This is all very promising. Even though Anderson is set to sign a multi-year deal to stay in Carolina according to Joe Person of The Athletic, Marshall has the talent to potentially reach the top of the depth chart in no time at all.
A lofty goal to aim for, obviously. But his early transition to the pros dictates such expectations.
