9. 55. 34. 87. Final

Who were the big winners and losers from the Carolina Panthers’ third and final preseason game against the Pittsburgh Steelers?

We did it. We finally made it through the 2021 NFL preseason and can now start looking forward to what should be a memorable campaign for the Carolina Panthers in the second year under Matt Rhule.

The Panthers wrapped up their third and final preseason game on Friday night with a blowout 34-9 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. Not only did they get the victory, but a lot of the damage was done while the starters played in the first half, excluding running back Christian McCaffrey.

Carolina was playing against the Steelers’ second team but it was still a confidence booster that was much needed after losses in the first two preseason games.

While there were plenty of bright spots that Carolina fans can get excited about, some concerning elements once again surfaced that need to be fixed if the Panthers want to be successful this season.

There is still time to clean up the mistakes as the hard work begins. Carolina has to now trim their roster to 53 by Tuesday, and they’ll have just over two weeks until they host the New York Jets to open the season.

Now that the preseason final is in the books, here are three winners and three losers from the Panthers’ win at Bank of America Stadium.
