Carolina Panthers OL (9)

Of all the positional groups on the Carolina Panthers roster, this is probably the most concerning. The offensive line has to raise their game collectively in the coming months, or it won’t just be quarterback Sam Darnold that suffers.

At least from the outside looking in, this appears to be a unit of veterans who need to prove themselves and players with less experience looking to forge their way in the NFL. This wouldn’t normally be a recipe for success, but Carolina does possess one of the best right tackles in the business to solidify one area.

Taylor Moton is a model of consistency. Something that has stood out like a sore thumb over the last three years and enough for the Panthers to give the former second-round pick a lucrative deal before the franchise tag deadline.

Cam Erving, John Miller, Pat Elflein, and Matt Paradis are projected to start alongside Moton. All four have questions to answer and simply put, things need to come together extremely quickly.

Rookie duo Brady Christensen and Deonte Brown have flashed this offseason and could be set to start as the season progresses. The likes of Dennis Daley and Trenton Scott should round off the depth chart if Carolina doesn’t bring anybody in off the waiver wire once final cuts are made across the league.
