Someone on the safety depth chart is going to miss out.

One could make a case for Myles Hartsfield, Sean Chandler, and Kenny Robinson all making the team. Although it appears as if only two out of the three will join the 53-man roster.

All three have thrived at certain stages throughout training camp and the preseason. However, given Chandler’s immense contribution and Hartsfield performing well in 2020, it might be Robinson who gets waived in the not-too-distant future.

This would be a real body blow for the former XFL star, who made some significant progress during the offseason after going through complications adjusting to the next level in difficult circumstances last time around.

Robinson deserves an enormous amount of credit for the way he’s applied himself in recent weeks. Although an unfortunate injury meant he was unable to participate in the final preseason game.

If the Panthers decide to go with Hartsfield and Chandler, nobody would complain.

However, Robinson is equally as deserving and would be a lock for the practice squad unless another team also liked what they saw from the safety this offseason.

It’s a tough decision regarding the backend. But it’s a tough business.
