Danny Amendola – WR

It is surprising Danny Amendola is still on the market if he does want to play another season. Despite a downtick in production with the Detroit Lions last season, he certainly put together a better year than many of the fringe wide receivers who are going to make rosters.

Amendola is a clutch player known for his huge playoff catches and big moments. When it seems your team is just a big reception away, the wideout is the man on the roster who is going to make that grab more often than not.

While it helps to have Tom Brady as your quarterback, he still thrived outside of the New England Patriots and would be a solid fit on the Carolina Panthers roster.

D.J. Moore and Robby Anderson will obviously be the starters, with rookie Terrace Marshall Jr. serving as the third and slot option. Amendola would be the fourth or fifth weapon depending on how the team uses David Moore and could provide injury insurance for Shi Smith who is dealing with a shoulder problem.

At this point in his career, it is likely Amendola would accept such a role if he is going to continue playing.

There is the chance he is waiting on a team like the Kansas City Chiefs or Tampa Bay Buccaneers to offer him a job and chase one last ring. If that is the case, he won’t be an option for the Panthers.
