Rasheed Walker – OT (Penn State)

It’s no secret that the Carolina Panthers have some big questions to answer on their offensive line heading into the 2021 season. Matt Rhule appears willing to go with some underperforming veteran starters initially, with some promising young players waiting in the wings if things don’t pan out as expected.

Simply put, the Panthers have ignored the left tackle position for too long. Something that has to change either during free agency or the 2022 NFL Draft.

Now if Carolina is selecting at No. 13 overall, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Scott Fitterer trade down and try and get a second-round pick, which the Panthers don’t have at the present time.

Teams are always looking to move up and land a quarterback in this area. Something that was evident in 2021 when the Chicago Bears swooped to acquire Justin Fields.

The Panthers potentially solve their protection problems by taking Rasheed Walker. The Penn State standout is an exceptional athlete with all the size and length to make a real go of things at the next level.

Another thing Walker has going to him is a high football IQ and the balance to match. He’s projected to be one of the best prospects in the 2022 class and someone that should be able to help right out of the gate.
