The Carolina Panthers are getting ready to start a season facing a lot of questions. With an easy schedule and a weak division could this Panthers team become a surprise contender?

Looking at the Carolina Panthers schedule it is obvious this team has an opportunity this season to become a surprise wild card contender. The organization has few tough games on their 2021 calendar and is in what appears to be a top-heavy division.

The New Orleans Saints are in limbo chaos after losing Drew Brees, the quarterback position is still a huge question mark and they also have to cope with plenty of turnover on their roster.

This Saints team isn’t going to be very good this year.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are going to win this division barring a miracle. They are also the only team clearly better in this division than the Panthers.

Then there is the Atlanta Falcons, who still have a lot of question marks defensively and must once again hope Matt Ryan and their offense can win shootouts against opposing teams.

Carolina is in a unique spot with Sam Darnold and a relatively youthful roster. This makes their ceiling is much higher than the expectations for this team.

A team that is going to surprise a lot of people this season and it is going to start in Week 1. After an eventful preparation period, here are our final game-by-game projections for the Panthers in 2021.
