3 winners and 3 losers from the Carolina Panthers 2021 offseason

Frankie Luvu – Carolina Panthers OLB
It’s been a sensational offseason for Frankie Luvu. The outside linebacker really made his presence felt to move from a fringe member of the depth chart to a key rotational piece, something that will be sorely needed throughout the campaign.
Luvu’s energetic approach to almost every down has been a joy to watch throughout training camp and the preseason. There is a lot to like about the player’s mentality and ability to be in the right place consistently, with the Washington State product drawing inspiration from his former coach and the late, great former Panthers star Kevin Greene as he follows in his mentor’s footsteps.
"“Coach Snow always says, be around the ball. They turn on the tape and you’re around the ball, and that’s a mindset of when I started playing under Kevin Greene, when he used to coach me. I kind of took that mindset and brought it over here and just carried on with it. It was a blessing having him coach me and having him pass his game onto me as an undrafted kid. He trusted me to come in, and trust his techniques and fundamentals, and everything has fallen into place.”"
Although Luvu doesn’t have the Pro Football Hall of Fame credentials of Greene and probably never will. But that doesn’t mean he cannot carve out an important role for himself in Carolina.
This has been a pleasant surprise for the team’s coaching staff. Luvu has been one of the offseason’s real stars and if he can carry this momentum into competitive action, the better the Panthers’ chances will be.
