Predicting 2021 stats for Carolina Panthers’ top playmakers on offense
By Will Burns
D.J. Moore – Carolina Panthers WR
2021 Projected Stats
- 90 receptions
- 1,250 receiving yards
- 13. 8 YPC
- 6 touchdowns
Robby Anderson – Carolina Panthers WR
2021 Projected Stats
- 70 receptions
- 1,050 receiving yards
- 15 YPC
- 8 touchdowns
D.J. Moore and Robby Anderson both managed to put up more than 1,000 yards receiving in 2020 with Teddy Bridgewater under center. I can almost guarantee both wideouts will at least be more efficient with their routes, and hopefully, their numbers increase because of it.
Anderson and Sam Darnold still have that old connection from the New York Jets days, so I expect Anderson to get more red-zone targets than Moore.
However, I also predict Moore will increase his touchdowns in 2021. Something that might finally push him into the elite category ahead of a possible contract extension.
The addition of Darnold should definitely lead to more aggressive throws, and longer catches for the wide receivers. Moore and Anderson’s numbers could look a little different depending on how heavily involved rookie wide receiver Terrace Marshall Jr. is in the offense.
Even if Darnold isn’t any good, both these receivers have a history of producing with subpar quarterback play.
