5 shining stars from the Panthers win vs. NY Jets in Week 1

Haason Reddick – Carolina Panthers OLB
There was a real sense of intrigue to see Hasson Reddick in action and what he could bring to the Carolina Panthers. As it turned out, his official debut couldn’t have gone much better in the grand scheme of things.
Reddick was a nightmare across the line of scrimmage throughout the Week 1 game. The Panthers used him in multiple positions to maximize his production, something that came with a considerable amount of pressure in the process.
The free-agent signing from the Arizona Cardinals seems tailormade for Phil Snow’s scheme. And nobody knows how to get the best out of Reddick than this staff who worked with him closely at Temple.
With four tackles, 1.5 sacks, and two quarterback hits, Reddick’s mission to prove last season’s stats weren’t a flash in the pan is off to a promising start. What comes next in terms of consistency is equally as important, but he really benefitted from plenty of energetic figures alongside him on the front seven.
Reddick is betting on himself this season after signing a one-year deal to reunite with Matt Rhule. It’s going to cost the Panthers a lot more than that to keep him around beyond 2021 based on this showing.
