Which Carolina Panthers turned in disappointing efforts during their Week 1 win against the New York Jets at Bank of America Stadium?
The time for the talk came to a merciful end when the Carolina Panthers took the field for their Week 1 contest against the New York Jets. Bank of America was absolutely packed to mark the return of crowds in the stands, with a healthy contingent of Gang Green making the trip down to Charlotte for the season opener.
It was a game that had some impressive moments, one that the Panthers eventually won 19-14. However, plenty of frustrating elements reared their ugly head throughout the contest and Matt Rhule has much work to do ahead of a stiffer test against the New Orleans Saints next Sunday.
It didn’t take a genius to figure out which players really caught the eye. And make no mistake, Carolina needed every last one of them to get a positive result in front of their home support to kick off their campaign.
Carolina got the victory, which is all that matters at this stage of the season.
It was never going to be perfect right away and there were some really positive moments and individual contributions to take from a game that should have been out of sight at the half-time break.
