D.J. Moore’s chemistry with Sam Darnold is blossoming

Let’s get the obvious one out of the way. D.J. Moore continues to be one of the most underrated and disrespected receivers in this league.

Moore is never mentioned in any top receivers list despite his performance with a carousel of quarterbacks and an offense that primarily features Christian McCaffrey.

Sunday was yet another example of this as Moore finished the day with six catches and 80 receiving yards. It is an especially impressive total when you factor in the level of carries and passes Carolina was sending McCaffrey’s way.

Sam Darnold and Moore had the best chemistry of any of the receiving-quarterback tandems and will continue to establish themselves as one of the better duos in football as the season goes on.

When Darnold needed someone to make a play other than McCaffrey – which was a rarity – he looked Moore’s way with some impressive results.

The only negative was the fact the duo failed to score, with the only touchdown pass from Darnold finding Robby Anderson.  A problem Darnold and Moore will no doubt remedy in Week 2 when they take on the New Orleans Saints.
