Carolina Panthers fans do not like Cameron Jordan.

Jordan has a history of being a thorn in Carolina’s side and any time they can keep him quiet is a much better day for the Panthers’ offense.

Jordan has been the New Orleans Saints’ most reliable defensive player since 2011 and anytime he can face Carolina’s offensive line, there’s a chance he has a huge game given his exceptional ability to make plays almost at will.

In Week 1, Jordan didn’t rack up any tackles but had two quarterback hits on Aaron Rodgers, and a pressure that helped force an interception.

Jordan has lined up against a variety of left tackles over the years while facing the Panthers and this game, he’ll have his matchup with Cam Erving. One that he’ll undoubtedly be looking forward to given the player’s struggles on the edge throughout his career.

This will be a huge test for Erving against one of the league’s best defensive ends and if he fails, it’ll also be a long day for quarterback Sam Darnold.

With fellow Saints defensive end Marcus Davenport likely out with a pectoral injury, Jordan will be relied upon even more on the New Orleans defensive front.
