5 bold predictions for Carolina Panthers vs. the Saints in Week 2

Carolina Panthers WR Terrace Marshall Jr. scores his first NFL touchdown
There was a lot of hype on the opening weekend surrounding Terrace Marshall Jr. The second-round pick out of LSU finished the afternoon with three receptions from six targets for 26 yards as the Carolina Panthers didn’t open up the playbook as many expected.
Even Robby Anderson only caught a single reception. That one though found the end zone for a 57-yard score.
Marshall lined up mostly in the slot, so it appeared the Panthers were looking to add to the success they got in the preseason. It’s just one week in a 17 game campaign, so it’s too early to hit the panic button on his usage just yet.
Now that the receiver has his NFL debut under his belt, the nerves should be long gone.
Marshon Lattimore, the New Orleans Saints starting cornerback is likely out for this contest, so they will lean on their other cornerback depth to replace him.
That means Marshall should be going up against the fourth corner on their depth chart.
With the first game jitters out of the way and the playbook likely to open up with a division rival coming to town, look for Marshall to find the end zone for the first of many this season.
