Derrick Brown – Carolina Panthers DT

Derrick Brown had a great showing in the season opener against the Jets. He exposed the interior offensive line both in running situations and against the pass.

Brown must continue the same play this week against a Saints team that is coming off a huge win over the Green Bay Packers.

The former first-round pick accumulated four total tackles, one sack, two pressures, and a PFF grade of 76.4. But the Saints boast one of the best offensive lines in the league.

The interior could see some stern competition with Brown. He must contribute to stopping Alvin Kamara and once the running back gets started, he is extremely hard to stop.

Brown must also put pressure on Saints quarterback Jameis Winston. It is clear you do not want to give him time in the pocket.

Winston torched the Packers’ defense with 149 yards and five touchdowns. Brown and the entire defensive line must get pressure on the signal-caller.

This will be a superb battle to see between Brown and a stout Saints offensive line. The defensive tackle is more than prepared for the challenge in Week 2.
