What were some of the big things to take away from the Carolina Panthers’ second win of the 2021 season against the New Orleans Saints?

For the first time since 2017, the Carolina Panthers are 2-0 to start the season.

At a boisterous Bank of America Stadium, the Panthers dominated the contest-winning 26-7 to snap a four-game losing streak against Sean Payton and the New Orleans Saints.

Sam Darnold had another nice game finishing the game 26/38 for 305 passing yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. There were touchdowns for D.J. Moore and Christian McCaffrey, as well as a first career score for wide receiver Brandon Zylstra.

Once again the Panthers’ defense was simply lights out.

After throwing five touchdowns in a blowout win against the Green Bay Packers last week, Jameis Winston was scoreless through the air and throwing two picks and looking like the quarterback Carolina fans saw a ton of when the former No. 1 overall selection was under center for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

More importantly, they held stud running back Alvin Kamara, to just five rushing yards on eight carries. A remarkable achievement considering the level of talent at his disposal.

Without further ado, here are five crucial takeaways from what turned out to be another highly impressive performance by the Panthers.
