Who were some of the more disappointing Carolina Panthers players during their Week 2 win against the New Orleans Saints?

It was a turn up for the books for some not yet familiar with the talent situated on the Carolina Panthers roster. Their stunning 26-7 victory over the New Orleans Saints was a real statement of intent from Matt Rhule’s men to keep their undefeated streak alive, which should stand them in good stead ahead of the team’s next outing at the Houston Texans on Thursday Night Football.

This represents a good opportunity for the Panthers to attain a third-straight triumph in 2021. The Texans aren’t activating Deshaun Watson despite the hamstring injury suffered by quarterback Tyrod Taylor against the Cleveland Browns, which means that rookie Davis Mills will be thrown to the wolves in the face of an exceptional Carolina defensive front.

Taking them lightly would be a mistake. So it’s up to Rhule and his staff to ensure their focus remains the same.

The job this season is far from over. In truth, it’s barely just begun.

Although there were many top performances on both sides of the football on Sunday, a number of individuals didn’t live up to expectations despite the convincing overall outcome.

The Panthers can ill-afford to carry passengers moving forward. Even though the team’s depth looks to be pretty promising in the grand scheme of things.

With this in mind, here are four Panthers players who turned in disappointing performances against the Saints in Week 2.
