Brandin Cooks – WR

Wide receiver Brandin Cooks is simply the only reliable offensive weapon that the Houston Texans have right now.

It seems that no matter where or who Cooks is playing with, he always shows up.

In five of his first seven seasons in the NFL, Cooks has 1,000 or more receiving yards and he already has 210 yards in Houston’s first two games.

His production could take a hit with Davis Mills at quarterback. But he managed to catch a touchdown from the rookie when he stepped in for Tyrod Taylor in Week 2.

Cooks is undoubtedly the Texans’ biggest offensive weapon and the Carolina Panthers have to do everything in their power to limit him on Thursday.

If Carolina’s secondary, which will be getting a boost from cornerback A.J. Bouye, who is returning from a two-game suspension, can cause Cooks to struggle, Mills doesn’t have many other great receiving options.

The defensive front will also play its part. If the Panthers can generate similar pressure as we’ve seen over the last fortnight, then it will make things very difficult for Davis to get the football in Cooks’ hands.
