Morgan Fox – Carolina Panthers DL

An under-the-radar signing from the Los Angeles Rams in free agency, Morgan Fox has more than left his mark on the Carolina Panthers so far. The versatile defensive lineman fitted in seamlessly to the scheme and although others generate more headlines, his contribution has become increasingly important to the team’s success.

Fox is a highly motivated individual who plays as such on the field. His high motor and impressive football acumen allow him to cause disruption on the edge or on the interior, which is something the Panthers are getting from almost every member of their front seven through Week 2.

One couldn’t accuse Fox of being a coveted free-agent recruit. Carolina deserves tremendous credit for identifying him as someone who could assist and become a perfect fit, with his performance against the New Orleans Saints doing nothing to dispel this notion.

Another thing that often goes overlooked where Fox is concerned is gap stability. He is disciplined against the run and is benefitting from explosive talent around him in obvious pass-rushing situations for good measure.

Much like the situation with Sam Darnold, fans could not ask for much more where Fox is concerned. Yet another stout defensive force on an exceptional unit.
