3 best prop bets for Carolina Panthers at Texans on Thursday Night Football
By Dean Jones
Carolina Panthers WR D.J Moore +5.5 receptions (-115)
It’s been an impressive start to the 2021 season for D.J. Moore. The wide receiver is clearly on the same page with quarterback Sam Darnold and looks to be on course for a potential Pro Bowl campaign if everything continues in the same fashion moving forward.
The Carolina Panthers have a lot of mouths to feed in the passing game, but Moore is at the top of the food chain outside of Christian McCaffrey. His route running is coming on leaps and bounds with every passing year, with his ball skills remaining at an exceptionally high standard for good measure.
Moore has a good opportunity to generate some significant numbers at the Houston Texans in Week 3. They just traded their top cornerback Bradley Roby to the New Orleans Saints, leaving the likes of Vernon Hargreaves III and Terrance Mitchell tasked with thwarting the former first-round pick’s threat.
Make no mistake, this area of weakness won’t go unnoticed by offensive coordinator Joe Brady. Providing Darnold gets enough time in the pocket to go through his reads, then the Maryland product will be open more often than not.
WynnBET is currently over odds of -115 (bet $115 to win $100) on Moore going over 5.5 receptions in Week 3. Considering the matchup, this is a realistic target for the wideout.
