3 best prop bets for Carolina Panthers at Texans on Thursday Night Football
By Dean Jones
Carolina Panthers QB Sam Darnold +261.5 passing yards (-125)
To say Sam Darnold‘s start to his time with the Carolina Panthers has caught the eye would be the biggest of understatements. The quarterback has been in a confident mood since his trade from the New York Jets, displaying the right sort of conviction in the pocket to lead his team to a 2-0 record and giving the rest of the league plenty to think about.
It’s a good start from Darnold, but no more than that.
What comes next in the weeks to come will be equally as important and the signal-caller has some stern upcoming tests that he needs to come through before his skeptics are truly convinced.
That being said, it’s hard to look at Darnold’s prospects at the Houston Texans with anything other than encouragement. They wouldn’t have what could be described as a solid defensive unit and there are plenty of matchups for the former USC standout to exploit.
Of course, the offensive line needs to do its job. But the Panthers have a plethora of dynamic weapons in the passing game and Darnold seems to be on the same page with all of them.
Taking the Texans lightly would be a mistake.
Anything can happen in the NFL, after all.
However, WynnBET’s offer of -125 (bet $125 to win $100) on Darnold to go over 261.5 passing yards seems like a solid wager given how well the signal-caller is currently distributing the football.
