Donte Jackson – Carolina Panthers CB

Donte Jackson is an absolute speedster at cornerback. But he will be facing one of the league’s quickest wide receivers when they take on the Houston Texans.

Jackson ran 4.32 seconds in the 40-yard dash while Texans wide receiver Brandin Cooks clocked in at 4.33. Speed on speed will be in full effect for prime-time football and this is something every fan tuning in can look forward to.

The former LSU standout has been a great cornerback for the Carolina Panthers so far this season. He has been consistent in the secondary, but not only in the passing game.

In running situations, Jackson was making great open-field tackles against the New Orleans Saints. Something that resulted in huge stops at crucial times.

His tackles weren’t against any player, it was Alvin Kamara.

Jackson worked tremendously hard on improving his tackling ability over the offseason and it has shown.

With Jackson facing another rookie quarterback, he can take advantage. The corner needs to make a play early and make sure the signal-caller remembers it.

Jackson has been great this season and he is no doubt prepared to face the Texans’ offense on Thursday night.
