Which Panthers player is poised for a breakout game at the Texans?

Which Carolina Panthers player could be set for a breakout performance at the Houston Texans on Thursday Night Football?
With a fast start to the season and a much larger jump in production on defense for a young Carolina Panthers team than most expected, a big-time acquisition has gone somewhat forgotten. This, however, could all change in Week 3.
There’s an old saying that goes like this.
"If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it."
A lot of truth in those words to be fair. This is not one of those situations though as adding even more talent to a humming Panthers team isn’t usually a bad thing. But just who might that talent waiting in the wings be?
That man is former Pro Bowler A.J. Bouye.
While 2020 was not the best of years for the former Denver Bronco, injuries hampered him before a suspension ended his season and kept him out of the first two games of 2021. Also, it has been just a few years since that Pro Bowl selection, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t any tread left on the tires where Bouye is concerned.
Bouye may no longer be the shutdown corner of old, but that veteran leadership on a team full of young players is much needed and he can contribute right away at a slot position with a lot of questions.
