Which Panthers player is poised for a breakout game at the Texans?

What A.J. Bouye offers the Carolina Panthers
The former Denver Bronco has always shown great instincts and an ability to bait quarterbacks into a throw with his acceleration. So I expect big things this Thursday.
Perhaps not turnovers, but I at least want to hear his name called early and often over the middle.
While those physical gifts aren’t what they used to be, A.J. Bouye’s mind is as sharp as ever and that could spell trouble for Davis Mills if the quarterback continues to show the same lapses that he showed against the Cleveland Browns in Week 2, especially the underthrows.
Mills just doesn’t seem to have the arm strength to get enough speed on the ball. It will get there sure, but by the time it does the defender has already closed the gap and at best forced an incompletion.
This is exactly the opposite of what you want against an opportunistic and aggressive Carolina Panthers defense. Something Bouye certainly has in the back of his mind right now.
With all of that being said, there is still a lot that we don’t know about how Bouye will fit in this Panthers defense. One can hope for a lift across the board with a veteran presence like that, but only time will tell if that is the case.
Either way, this defense is a lot of fun to watch and it should only get more interesting now that Bouye is in the fold of a brand new Thieves Avenue.
