4 ways Richard Sherman could help the Carolina Panthers in 2021

Richard Sherman would provide leadership to the Carolina Panthers
The Carolina Panthers managed to acquire some nice veteran pieces during free agency this spring. Many of them are making a difference both on and off the field as Matt Rhule and his players currently bask in the glory of a 3-0 record for the first time since their 2015 Super Bowl appearance.
That being said, this is still one of the league’s youngest rosters who are still learning as they go, to a certain extent. Adding Richard Sherman into the mix – providing the price is right – could be another tremendous boost for a defense that is reeling from the Jaycee Horn injury.
Sherman has never been accused of not being vocal. His passion for the game of football is there for all to see and this leadership could be absolutely vital for the team in pursuit of potentially making the postseason at the end of the campaign.
This is a nice security blanket for younger players. But much will depend on how well Sherman has kept himself in shape away from the gridiron.
The five-time Pro Bowler has also dealt with some personal problems since his release from the San Francisco 49ers. Thankfully, Sherman appears to be in a much better place now and it won’t be much longer before he’s on an NFL roster once again.
Whether that’s with the Panthers or somewhere else has yet to be determined. But the impact his leadership Sherman would bring to this group cannot be understated.
