Panthers Game Sunday: Panthers at Cowboys odds and prediction for NFL Week 4 game
By Dean Jones
Things are about to get much tougher for the Carolina Panthers in Week 4 as they look to extend their perfect record at the Dallas Cowboys.
All eyes will be on AT&T Stadium on Sunday as the unbeaten Carolina Panthers go in search of their fourth straight victory to start the 2021 season. Standing in the team’s way are the Dallas Cowboys, who’ve racked up two straight themselves and looked hugely impressive in an emphatic win over the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football.
Not having Christian McCaffrey, Jaycee Horn, or Juston Burris for the clash is a big blow. It also remains to be seen just how much of the field cornerback C.J. Henderson sees after Carolina traded for the former first-round pick on Monday.
This is going to be a significant challenge in a pressure-cooker atmosphere. Carolina’s defense against a Cowboys offense that’s firing on all cylinders is going to be a must-watch battle and something that will probably determine the overall outcome.
If the Panthers were looking for a bar of sorts, then this game comes at just the right time.
Panthers at Cowboys Odds Week 4
The Week 4 betting odds on WynnBET have the Panthers as 5.0-point underdogs on the road. They have +180 moneyline odds, while Dallas is the resounding favorite at -225.
The total for the game is set at an over/under of 50.5 points.
Panthers at Cowboys Prediction Week 4
Carolina has the NFL’s best defense in many statistical categories and Phil Snow’s unit needs to be at the top of their game in order to come away from Arlington with a 4-0 record. Whether they can do this or not without Horn and Burris is another matter entirely.
The Cowboys will fancy their chances. Not having to face McCaffrey dictates that.
It will be up to Sam Darnold and other playmakers to pick up the slack. How the carries are split between fourth-rounder Chuba Hubbard and Royce Freeman will also be something to keep a close eye on.
This is a fascinating battle whichever way one looks at it. But the absence of McCaffrey is huge so expect Dallas to triumph on home soil by a score of 28-23.
