Which Carolina Panthers players could be set for more time on the field at the Dallas Cowboys in Week 4 of the 2021 season?

The time has come for business to pick up where the Carolina Panthers are concerned in 2021. Matt Rhule’s roster came through their first three challenges with minimal fuss, but this Sunday’s test at the Dallas Cowboys is the sternest of the campaign so far.

Much like the Panthers, things are trending in the right direction in Dallas thanks to two straight wins and complete annihilation of the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football in front of a bumper national audience.

Not only is Carolina coming up against a potential playoff contender this weekend, but they must also cope without the services of Christian McCaffrey, Jaycee Horn, and Juston Burris for the contest after all three starters fell to injury at the Houston Texans.

As is always the case in the NFL, it’s “next man up”. Here are five Panthers players who could see more time on the field at the Cowboys in Week 4.

Brady Christensen – Carolina Panthers OL

One suspects Dennis Daley is entering this game on a very short leash. The offensive lineman hasn’t covered himself in glory over the last two games and the Carolina Panthers can ill-afford the protection failing to deliver once again with additional responsibility on Sam Darnold’s shoulders with Christian McCaffrey out.

Rookie Brady Christensen has been used sparingly so far. However, the Panthers might not have any choice other than to throw the BYU product into more playing time of Daley struggles once again.

Christensen is much older than most first-year players. So maturity should not be an issue despite Carolina taking their time with the third-round selection right out of the gate.
